My Shell Pin

I'm not a room mother in either of my children classes and this year I didn't get up to the schools as much as I'd like. That makes this even more special to me.

I went to Early Works with CeAnna's class a few months ago. Unfortunately, I got there really late.
Later that day CeAnna told me that a little girl came up to her and said "you got a really good mother". I thought that was supper sweet! but I wasn't even sure which little girl it was.

CeAnna came home Monday and she said Ashley (the little girl) had bought me something. It was a shell stick pin! I ask CeAnna had she gotten any of the other mothers anything, and she told me, she hadn't...... Make me cry!
Of course, that made my whole day! Just the thought of that little girl seeing something in me that made her want to buy me a pretty, pin brings tears to my eyes.

Of course, I wore it on my shirt to field day today! I told Ashley that I sure did like it! She said I was hoping you would... it cost five dollars! Made me want to squall right there! I just took that (hopefully).... as the Lord smiling at me!

Almost .... Summer!

I have spent two days doing field day activitys! First was Monday at the Elementary School with Trenton and today was CeAnna's field day at the Primary! After awards day on Thursday we will be done with school for the Summer!!! :) :) :)

Battleship

Hey all you blogtarians! If you weren't out on Guntersville lake this Saturday... you missed it! It was a life size game of battleship. The city had designed a game where airplanes would fly over the river, drop bags of corn out trying to hit empty boats.

Hey Bloggeries! I'm hopeful your weekend was a little more restful than mine but every bit as fun!

We went to the singing at lake Friday night. We enjoyed that so much. All the groups sounded wonderful.

We went to Simmon's Park Saturday to JD's surprise party! I'm not sure how surprised he actually was.... but it was a bunch of fun! Most of the grownups played as hard as the kids. I'm thinking they even had a Manneken Statue there?!? (-;

We drove back home and then back to Huntsville for church. Back home and Back to Riverton that morning for AM church (it's a good thing we love church as much as we do) After church we drove around looking at foreclosures and guess what..... we found one! Do you remember a few weeks ago when I said if you've never lived threw a remodel, thank your lucky stars??? Well.... if we do buy this house it is the Big Bertha of all remodels! I'm talking 3,500 sq feet of major remodeling!!! We put our house "officially" up for sale today. KP has started the process of making them an offer on it! I don't know if I should be really excited or dig a deep hole and cover myself for the next year.... I'm sure (I hope) this will be a long process and I will have plenty of time to panic and stress-out later!

That afternoon we went to Jeff and Alyson's before going back to church that night. Jeff and Alyson are some of the finest people I know. They always open their home up to us and invite us over between services. They surely have the gift of hospitality. I feel so at home in their home. I just think, Lord let me be like that.
Back to Arab that night and then the kids off to school Monday morning ..... the sound of a record scratching..... Nope, both kid stayed home from school today!!!! and guess who is taking the day off tomorrow just to spend his day with ME... KP! I'm so excited! I think we will turn the phone off and spend all day doing noting but watching movies!!! A few pictures from my weekend!

Hello Bloggerheads!
So... we were driving to Rockey Branch, Wednesday night, for church. I'm sure we were driving too fast cause we were running late. We were going up the side of the mountain when we seen a young man dressed in dress clothes, walking. Obviously, he had run out of gas. His car was pulled over and his emergency lights were flashing. I said to Kevin, we should pick him up, he probably is trying to get to church. Kevin said were not going to make it to church our selves if we stop and pick that man up! I said, well at least make sure he is not somebody we know!!!
Next thing I know, I'm getting slung into my side-window as Kevin takes a sharp right and starts backing down the mountain, on the side of the road, towards oncoming traffic!!! He says do you know who that is??? I said who.... he couldn't think of his name...... meanwhile as were backing down the mountain (going the wrong direction) I look at my poor kid in the back and think.... this can't be safe!!
Kevin says, that is Shannon Fortner! I hopped out of the car and got in the back with the kids as an out of breath Shannon gets into our car. He told us he had ran out of gas and his phone had went dead. (Sounds like he has my kind of luck) He was so grateful that we had stopped. Can't say I blame him, that mountain is steep plus he was a long ways from a pay-phone! I think he even called us angels two or three times! lol. I love it when you get to meet people that you otherwise may never get a chance to talk to.
So what have we learned here?
1. Good things can come out of bad situations.
2. Never be in too big of a hurry, you could miss out!
3. If you ever run out of gas pray that I'm not the one to pick you up cause you could end up in my next blog!!! lol
I think we are going to the lake tonight. If were super lucky we will get to hear that awesome band, New Harmony! I hear they got a new CD coming out, I can't wait to get it!!!

WEEEEZEY

Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin wrong with that.

Just felt like breaking out with a little George Jefferson. WEEZEY.... anywho, I had a fabulous weekend!
Guess, I must have been the best mom EVER this year cause my family sure did spoil me on mothers day!!!

CeAnna and Trent came up with this system not to argue on Mothers Day! They would say "MD" when they felt like the other one was about to start a fight!..... How great is that???? Now if only I could some how get them to use that system the other 364 days!

We took the kids to Southern Adventures in Huntsville, Saturday! They played bumper cars, go-karts and some how... I ended up on this Roller Coaster Simulator! Oh my goodness, let me tell you... the ol gray mare aint what she use to be!!! I got so sick on that ride! I tried (for CeAnna she was riding with me) to hold on and take that beating lol.
I shut my eyes... of course it made it worse! I tried not looking at the screen- that didn't help! Finally, I hit the big red panic button! You know the one for big sissys! It was screaming my name and I pushed it! Of course KP and the boys were laughing at me when I got out. I stayed out of commission for a little while after that!

We made a few trips to Riverton this weekend. I believe we fount the area we want to build at. If the Lord will work it all out for us... and I know he can! I'm excited!

This is a few of my favorite pictures of all time!

My babies!

This was a self-explanatory good day! (:

KP had to dress up for Halloween at his work. NOBODY TELL HIM I POSTED THIS!

I was kidden around with CeAnna one day when she seen this picture of KP. I told her this is how your daddy use to dress before I met him. She had always remembered that and said to me years later, "I can't believe daddy use to dress like that!"

CeAnna loves animals!!! This little hamster was her baby.. but she felt that way about all twelve of them! We had a lot of hamsters only one at a time! She was like that little girl in Tiny Tunes (Elmyra) that loved animals....... to death......... literally! What if you were driving down the road one day, looked up in your rear-view mirror and seen this coming at you???This was a good day.... This was the day Brian & Brandi got married!
Brittany, Pam, Brandi, Brian, Dalton, Me! (:

"All the cool people wore green today" - Tasha 5/2/10

Trenton will always look like this in a picture unless I MAKE him smile!

Yes, Tasha told KP that all the "cool people" were wearing green today!!! lol I was totally in black and white! A least my husband and some of my friends are "cool"! (: Some of these pictures are repetitious but I wanted to crop them and forgot to the first time.
Here I sit drinking my morning cup of coffee. Yes, I know it's after elven and I should have been up way before this but as I sit here, I realize this will be one of my last cups of coffee/sleep-ins that I get to have in peace. School is almost out for the Summer and I will miss (after the kids leave for school) my quite mornings. Trenton has always been the kid who wakes up at the crack of dawn! Even on weekends you can count on hearing his TV on at six-thirty in the morning! If he ever discovers how wonderful sleeping in can be Joy, oh' Joy!

We went to a wedding Saturday and church Saturday night. We were gone all day Sunday too we had the Senior dinner at church and I cooked for that. It turned out really good. It wasn't too crowed and I manged to get a few pictures! Enjoy!
