la la la whatever :)

We got hit by the storms of Tuesday a week ago. Unfortunately, it got most of our electronics including our computer and two new flat screens I had bought for the the kids the previous Saturday! Yes- just my luck! Sooo I really can't get emails for awhile so be sure and call me instead of emailing.
We just got our damages summited to insurance. It will be about another month or so before we are business as usual around the Philpott's!

WE DID IT!!!

We did it! We survived! Junes revival was definitely a success. I got to see the Lord heal and give eternal life. There were so many questions that I had of my own life - as to why things had ended up the way they did, I got answers. I feel so peaceful in my soul. Tired in my body but never the less very peaceful in my soul. Brother Edwin and Brother Jimmy did a fantastic job. I believe they were just who Huntsville needed for this revival.

Kevin enjoyed it as much.... if not more. This was the first year he was able to take the entire week off for revival! He said numerous times that "it was so good" his words were " I believe I'm going to leave a standing vacation week in for June at work." I was so proud to see the young boys bond this year. Normally, you see the girls (because there are about a hundred of them ;)) all hanging out together, this year you seen both. Just another prayer God answered.

My Maw-maw came Tuesday. The service seemed to really go towards her. You all know, I'm very thankful for that! I talked to her the next day and she was saying "you know when this one said this and when this one said that", talking about people testifying. She said she felt so clean afterward. I remember feeling that same cleanness being around Holiness people when the Lord was working with me before he brought me in.

The Lords probably going to say, you drove me crazy Angie always bugging me about your grandmother when I get to heaven. That is the truth if you could worry the Lord about someone or something I'm sure I've done it concerning her. Once she makes it in I'll be so proud of every prayer I've prayed.

Despite the fact that I brought huge bowls of mash-potatoes, green beans, cream corn, pear-salad, sliced tomatoes, apple pie, pecan pie and Amish peanut-butter pie all on the WRONG day revival was good. Not to mention the I fact that there is a possibility that I have a hairline fracture across my nose! What would it be like if nothing abnormal didn't happen to me? SCARY! Thats what! I'd probably think I was dieing or something.

"Hot town, summer in the city"

It's been a super busy fun filled summer so far! We all know whats ahead of us!!! Junes revival! Crazy nonstop going week that -spiritually- I get so much out of! Usually leaves me drained in every other way possible. This year KP is taking off all week to go with ME. Hopeful having the extra help around, helps. A good gauge is if I'm crying by Friday night. I'm like a kid when I become exhausted, I cry. Shouldn't be too surprising everyone knows that almost everything else make me teary eyed!

KP and I had date night the last two nights. One of the great benefits of having family right next door. We went Friday night to buy Kev some new church clothes and then out to Applebees. Went to Belks in Guntersville. Got there at eight and I went to get a few things for myself and meet back up with him at almost nine (closing time). He had nothing in his hands and totally looked lost! He was so out of his element < it was so cute... and a little aggravating! After all, he is nearly impossible to get in a department store to begin with! Saturday he was on call and was gone most of the day so we didn't chance going to church so we made another trip to Belks. He did really good the second time thanks to my undivided attention. We had dinner at a yummy Mexican restaurant in Guntersville. Then we went and picked five little monkeys up at the skating-rink.

Blake is staying with us this Summer and working for Brian. I don't want to jinx anything by bragging on him but its been really good for him. He seems to love to work. Blake seems to really enjoy making his own money and being around my brothers family. He says hes saving up to buy a four-wheeler. One good thing that has come from the storms is that it has provided a lot of work. Saving up for the four-wheeler won't take long with all the hours he is getting to work.

KP and NannaBugs are vegged out on the couch and I'm about to join them. Just wanted to take a few minutes to blog seeings how I have no time through the week... Hope everyone has a good week!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Memorial Day weekend was the getaway I've so desperately been needing...... and almost didn't get!  We had only planed to stay one night and two days. KP decided we could drive down a day earlier. That turned into one giant nightmare! The plan was to drive and stop on the way, get a room somewhere on the interstate - the problem was we got into Pensacola before we stopped. There was no rooms to be-found. We ended up having to pick from staying at ether a  HoJo or a Ramada Inn! We went with the Ramada.

There were unknown stains on the furniture! Everything felt gross and dirty. I about died when I seen Trenton not wearing his flip-flops in the room! We ate at McDonald that night and some how I managed to bust the bag full of hot fries all over the car (that we don't eat in) while checking our order! Not to mention the car that was sitting in front of us forever, smoking so bad that I feel like I need to have the whole family screened for cancer now!

We got woken up that night by the sound of a car alarm going off. I jumped out of the king size bed that we were all sharing and started screaming for Kevin to get up! I'm sure the fact that I was picturing someone from the biker bar next door breaking into the car before I went to sleep didn't help matters. Turns out it wasn't our car being stolen. We got up bright in early and went to Ihop where CeAnna finds a hair in her pancake!!! That grosses me and Trenton out so much that we had to leave and get breakfast else where!

Before you start feeling too sorry for me. The second half (the part I planed ;)...... ) turned out to be sooo good! We stayed at Orange Beach at the Perdido Beach Resort. If your ever looking for a place at Orange Beach I'd highly recommend it! We went to Adventure Island twice. Road go-carts played putt-putt golf and played games like we were little kids! Got lots of sun and rest.

It's hardly ever that things turn out as bad as that trip started. It almost felt like one of those Vacation movies. However we survived! Thats life. The sun don't always shine. But if I'm going to stay in roach hotels and eat hairy pancakes there is nobody I'd rather do it with than my family!
