Thanksgiving part 2!

I wanted to say more about my Thanksgiving but after I posted my recipe I couldn't figure out how to blog below my  post so here is what I would have blogged if I was a little more computer savvy.

My grandparents do this thing each year where we all hold hands and everyone goes around the room and tells what they are thankful for. This tradition is despised by almost everyone that attends.
Kevin supper makes fun of how corny my family is for doing that. Here lately, I've seen (only in movies and television) a lot of family's doing the same thing.
I wouldn't venture as far to say that my family isn't corny. It defiantly is! I'm just saying that maybe there is a lot of corny family's out there. So this year I was thinking about what I would say. Of course, I'm thankful for my family, we all are in good health. I'm thankful that Kevin is such a good provider and that I get to be a stay at home mom. I'm thankful for the love and peace that is in my home. I'm thankful most of all that the Lord chose us.
Last year Kevin said "I'm thankful that the Lord gave me the Holy Ghost" I was kinda of surprised that he said that there. I ask him later about it and he said "well, thats truly what I'm grateful for."
After all that thinking I did, that tradition got skipped this year! At least I got to tell you what I'm thankful for!

After reading blogs over the weekend and seeing all the great Christmas trees I got inspired. After attempting to put my own tree up, decorate it and take pictures of it I realized two things. Number one I have the worst, cheapest, camera in the world! It's pretty bad when you go to take a picture of your Christmas tree and you have to take the picture in three sections in order to get any detail at all. Otherwise it looks like I may have just went out in my back yard a took a picture of any random tree!

and second that I don't have near the skill Lindsy and Marty and Heather and probably anybody else reading this blog does!!!

Thanksgiving!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We went to my Maw-maw's Thanksgiving morning. They had rented a moon bounce and of course that was a big hit with all the kiddies. We ate a quick bite there and hurried to Brian and Brandi's for our second Thanksgiving dinner. I had gotten an Amish recipe for a peanut-butter pie and carried one to both places. It's supper easy to make plus tastes really good!

Quote girl

I'm a quote girl. I love a good quote, this blog is a few of my favorites:

"the heart loves who it loves"

"There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. But omitted, and the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, and we must take the current when it serves -- or lose the ventures before us." -- William Shakespeare, "Julius Ceaser"

If ever two were one, then surely we. If ever man were loved by wife, then thee.

“Pain is a holy angel which shows treasure to man which otherwise remains forever hidden. ” Adalbert Stifter

CeAnna Witherspoon

There is a 1991 movie called The Man In The Moon. It's about a girl named Danny who's played by a young Reese Witherspoon who falls in love with an older boy named Cort. This was one of my favorite movies growing up.
Little did I know, that this movie would be brought up to me threw out my adult life. My daughter CeAnna strikes an uncanny resemblance to Danny/Reese. The resemblance is so strong that last year my sister-in-law took CeAnna trick-or-treating as Taylor Swift and she came back as Reese Witherspoon!?! She said that she kept going up to doors to trick-or-treat and everyone thought she was dressed up as Reece. And I get the "do you know who CeAnna looks just like" a lot! Here are pictures of Reece and CeAnna tell me what you think?

Knock Knock! Who's there? Cows. Cows who? Cows go moo not who!!

Long time - no "true" post. so here goes! Today is Arab's official Halloween so I guess we will miss church tonight. Unfortunately, missing church has been a running theme for us lately. Kevin worked 63 hours last week. I stomped my toe getting ready Monday night for church (the only night we were able to go) and I thought I had broken a bone in my foot! Luckily it's not broke, just feels like it is..... Kevin being gone none stop, plus want-to-be broken foot, plus missing so much church has put me in a bad mood!!! Usually a trip to my favorite Japaneses restaurant can lift my spirits - not even that helped!

New day - new chapter - my bad mood has lifted! You can hear the Angel choir singing... well, you can hear the Angel Philpott choir singing.

It's been awhile since I uploaded my camera so here is a lot of good moments that I have captured lately:
