Boys
A few weeks ago CeAnna and I were out eating lunch together, when I get a call from Trent. "mom how do you make lemonade?" he went on to tell me, how him and Porter wanted to set up a stand in the front yard. By the time I got home surprisingly, they had made a few dollars. Later on, my Uncle said there first batch they mixed up and was selling "wasn't any good".
When I seen they where truly going to sit out there all day and sale lemonade I went to Walmart stocked up on lemon's, cups, Ice and cans of lemonade mix (yes, I cheated a little.)
Little Porter and Trent hung in there. I said "Lord, just bless there efforts." I mean the cars poured in. One man stopped and said "I don't want any lemonade but I love to see young men working" and gave them a few dollars. Many people gave them tips. One woman gave them a eight dollar tip! Those kids made 34 dollars selling lemonade that day in our front yard!
Girls
A few weeks later, Grace and CeAnna decided they are going to set there own little stand up. I was telling Grace how good the boys did. She was shocked at how much they made. I said well, I did ask the Lord to bless it. Grace said "well, then ask the Lord to bless ours too"..lol.. Kids.. got to love them! I told the girls they needed to make more then the boys... and it was on!
Those girls juggled, the cheered, they sang they gave it there all out there for about five hours! They had people laughing at them driving by and then turn around just to buy lemonade because they were so silly. Kevin comes walking in and says, "you want a drink of my $6.00 glass of lemonade?" I said what they charged you $6.00? He said "it was all they needed to beat the boys!" The girls sold 36.00 worth lemonade in our front yard!
I declare the girls the best lemonade makers and the winners!
