I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

Here we are 10 years from the day we got married! I can't believe we made it and if you knew us back then you'd be shocked too! I owe my entire happiness to the Lord. He truly knew what he was doing with us two! I'd have glimpses of what me and Kevin could be from time to time. Those glimpses is what I held on to for dear life - at some awfully dark times..... and I'm so glad I did. I'm so thankful Kevin did too!
A friend wrote this about her and her husband so I borrowed it and change the names and added my own twist to it:
On this day, 10 yrs ago, Kevin Shane Philpott and I decided to take on the world together. I have learned that marriage is not for sissies, it is not for the perfect, nor for those who expect perfection. It's definitely, not for the faint of heart or the weak in mind. I have learned to never allow each other to fall out of love at the same time and to never stop dating.

The Lord no doubt had big plans for us. Bigger than we ever knew. I was just telling Kevin that even before I started living for the Lord that he provide for me. Our wedding and honeymoon was given to as as a gift. I had someone give me almost every diaper that Trenton ever used (and I truly could not have afforded it if they hadn't.) The Lord knew that one day I would live for him. We were sitting at our (make that my) favorite place to eat, Mt Fuji today and I was telling Kevin all this. I was saying that we need to be thankful to the people who provided so much for us in the past but I know that it's really the Lord who caused them to do it. - I can be over loyal to people. You'd think that wouldn't be a issue but it can be. Anywho, I was telling Kevin that the Lord can cause anyone he wants to do anything he wants. Then our waitress comes up and says "You don't have a ticket the man in the third booth has bought the entire restaurants lunch!" HAVE YOU EVER HAD THAT HAPPEN TO YOU? I haven't! My case in point. :)

KP decided to use two days of vacation for our anniversary. He also gave me two dozen roses and a sweet card! Yes, he's precious!  Oh, and he planned on buying me lunch but the Lord got it.
